  I feel like story wise I can call this Bakshi’s best film. I really enjoy the historical look into different eras of American music culture. The animation in this is also really neat going with the rotoscope looking similar to scenes in Wizards and also his adaptation of LOTR. This is also more tamer with the social commentary compared to his other films and like Heavy Traffic or Coonskin. Overall this movie isn’t perfect with its quick storytelling at times but it’s still pretty cool.
