The best possible example of a three act structure in film. This could be three separate movies entirely. All three acts share a true understanding of the human spirit. It is a harrowing, hard to watch story about friendship and the means to an end.

The cinematography. The acting performances. The long single shots. The frantic score. The parallels to Macbeth. Is he insane or actually a superhero? It might change for you on a rewatch. Birdman is a flailing, explosive, near-disaster at every turn, containing a chaos that rivals the friend that refuses to stop biting straight into her string cheese. It is a tale told by an idiot, full of sound and fury, signifying nothing.

Fantastic story, told uniquely through a very non-linear format. Great acting and productions work. There is a feeling of nostalgia for 70's cinema with the way the camera moves. Jonah Hill's performance is not one to miss.
