Man, I loved these books when I was a teen. Watching them felt like a clairvoyant dream. Felt too on the nose for the “Rusties” and how desire for control will fill the vacuum. Tally sucked way more from the movie POV than how she’s portrayed from the first person narrative book and/or I’m just older and more mature now.

So this was the original 27 Dresses…but way more classy! The filming of the city streets, especially the reflection shots were so dreamy. Sweet ending for Smitty’s commemorative trip to Rome.
