  Funny how John Waters was already this worried about Hollywood's obsession with franchises back then—when there were only a few Star Wars sequels, 3 scream films and zero Marvel Cinematic Universe. Makes you wonder what he'd think in 2025, when literally EVERYTHING is a franchise.

  Also, kudos to Waters, for saying what we all think about Forrest Gump back when no one would admit it sucked.
