  fucking hell where do I even begin.

  this film:

  - downplays Britain’s horrific past and actually glorifies British imperialism 

  - sympathises with Herbert Kitchener (the man who pioneered concentration camps in the Boer War and “liberated” Sudan) because ‘oh he is such a chivalrous gentleman with such class and grace!!! he commits these atrocities because other countries just aren’t as civilised as us brits!!’

  - therefore no attention is paid to those suffering in concentration camps, or those crippled by…
