I loved this movie. After taking over a Spanish trading ship, this once-captured group of African slaves finds themselves in charge. But, soon they land in Connecticut, where the slavery question is near its ultimatum - the year is 1839. The movie is full of clever and disturbing shots, and it makes you think harder than you want to at times- but amidst the tragedy are great characters who make you laugh and have hope. The historical fiction is relevant…
