  This film used to terrify me as a kid. Watched it on the plane- cried. Seriously concerned over the quality of my biking skills, will have to improve in case another alien is in dire need of an escape route.

  While the film gained some traction in the second half it ultimately missed the mark for me. The few laughs that it managed to squeeze out were mainly the product of sheer ridiculousness rather than anything else. I enjoyed how the cinematography was used to enhance the viewer's sympathy for Barry and I liked the bit about pudding...is it too much to say that this film just didn't seem to have much of a "Punch-" line??

  Agree with other reviewers that it went downhill after the intermission, I enjoyed the part where she was revitalizing terra and the return to this theme throughout the movie. Unfortunately just could not stand Scarlett after she married Rhett- to the extent that the movie became increasingly unenjoyable. However, the first half really did capture me and I did remain engaged to the end just, perhaps, not as charmed.

  Politically this film is a bit of a nightmare but based on pure enjoyment a four star for me. Also the film itself was stunning.
