I’m not going to lie I’ve never been more confused walking out of a movie theater. I loved the concept of stringing together three individual films all with obscure plot lines, but it became a little too obscure and far-fetched. The first of the three was super well written, but then deteriorated in the second two. I felt more time should have been spent on the first two and eliminating a third cause it became a bit long and strung-out.…
Ok. It took me a minute to fully grasp Leonardo DiCaprio using Shakespearean language, but in the end, I truly enjoyed this movie. Definitely not what I was expecting, but this movie was far from boring. The leads were beautiful together starting from the look through the aquarium. Obviously some parts were cheesy but what do you expect from a Shakespeare story in modern time. Like shut up if you expect Juliet to slap the shit out of Romeo at…
Bruh. My man’s had a golden ticket to salvation and did not hop back on that train. BEYOND ME. He’s handing out tokens to entertainment, he could’ve easily copped a job in Paris and thrived with Celine. This one day adventure trope is some crazy shit. I’d be freaking out on that bus ride to the airport, let alone smiling. If anything fly back to the states, snag your dog, and start a new life in France. Good lord I’m frustrated, but what a damn movie. Shout out to Celine for being my new celeb crush you really made this film. Au revoir - later.
I thought this was a fantastic piece of cinema. A bunch of the scenes proved to be realistic and brutal as it would seem in war. I loved the wrap around ending with the handkerchief that Paul wrapped around his neck following the death of his friend earlier in the film. I thought the main character was a fantastic actor. All around a Great War film.
