Sing Sing 2023
The world needs more films like this one. This film exudes warmth and humanity in a way that only few films do. Obviously it’s based on real events and some of the characters are played by the real people that the film is based on, but there is just something about this sort of hyper-realism in films that you don’t see as much nowadays. I feel like it is making a comeback though, especially with filmmakers like Sean Baker. Anyway, this is an incredible portrayal of hope, community, and brotherhood that must be seen by all.

There are several reasons why this is one of my favorite films of all time: the score, the visuals, the acting, the story.
