Nope 2022
i’m so fuckin late to the punch but it was so worth it. my favorite kinds of films are ones where you put the pieces together yourself and make what you want out of it. it’s like tenet for me, if you didn’t like it you probably weren’t expecting the right things or you’re stupid 😎

i watched sorry to bother you so many times since it’s been out and it hasn’t lost its dazzle. genuinely one of my favorite films of all time for so many different reasons, most of them being lakeith stanfield and steven yeun. boots riley had one of the most unique ways to display character development and hero’s journey through exploring the pitfalls of a capitalist society and adding elements of over the top sci-fi realism?!?!??? the biggest “what the fuck”…

legit my favorite coming of age movie, and that says a lot because that’s my favorite genre. this movie was important in breaking the model minority stereotype back in 02. im probably biased because i’m asian but this is probably one of the most important films for the culture.
