Meh, its all right I guess…but go see Better Man instead, please.

This would have been a clear-out masterpiece if they just spoke CHINESE! Thats really all Im asking for. A movie set in China, about a part of Chinese history, played by only Chinese actors and they talk English?! Am I asking for too much here, or was western marketing that important for the sucess of this movie? Probably
Anyways, its still a moving, interesting and thought provoking flick about the loss of innocence, destiny and political conflict set to beautiful images by the always fantastic Vittorio Storaro and incredible Music by Ryuchi Sakamoto, Cong Su and David Byrne. Check it out!

To escape into a movie about escapism that turns into the wildest, weirdest, most spontaneous and gorgeously creative piece of art, made by a very seventies and clearly drug affected crew is the best kind of escapism.
