A film that cannot escape its influences, meaning you spend the runtime just thinking which film did a particular aspect better. Pacing is a little slow, its moments of horror could’ve been more impactful, and its side characters have little to no exploration or importance to the film. Overall, it’s fine, but ultimately you’ve seen it before and you’ve seen it done better before.

However, I will forgive it cause I got to watch Ayo on screen for its duration & listen to some pretty funky songs!

Some of my favourite screenwriting of the last few years. Using the idea/set-up of spy’s & espionage to really dive into the intricacies of relationships & the lies we tell the people we love is utter genius.

Soderbergh effortlessly directs each scene, constantly building up tension & mystery, whilst keeping us guessing throughout. He masterfully blends into every genre he takes a stab at, and beautifully works with the conventions of the spy genre here.

A film that is the definition of simple, but incredibly effective

I feel like this Wallace & Gromit was made for me. A film all about the dangers/horrors of AI, whilst also parodying Mission Impossible more times than I can count.

    Hell yeah I enjoyed this.

Also, gotta get another one to complete the Feathers trilogy!

Also also, there’s a couple of jokes in this that will not leave my head for days to come. Just what a film!

I’m not religious in the slightest. I want to preface that, so you don’t think this film scared me because I believe in the devil or some shit. No, this film got under my skin and made me scared of seeing something in the dark corner of a room.

There is no happy ending, no “that’s all folks”, no nicely wrapped up with a pretty bow. There is just the end. Who wins? Who knows. But, I know who loses.…
