  Road House 2024

  The original is a great over the top 80s flick. This one does a bad job trying to recreate it. I felt it fell in the middle of being over the top cheesy or taking it more seriously and because it was neither most of it fell flat. I’ll give credit for the ending as it finally felt like it was just over the top ridiculous 80s action.
  Connor MacGregor was a good psycho villain, but still felt a bit off.

  This is a two star movie getting a bump because I’m a sucker for sports (specifically basketball) movies. Bad dialogue, story feels like lacks depth, however its good to see it looked like they use all indigenous people to play Navajo people.

  I like the subject matter, but it just felt like Andrew McCarthy still had this big hurt over being called a brat in the mid/late 80’s and wasn’t quite over it so he went to go find this trip to find all the other members, but found a most of them had moved on so he probably should too.

  Probably a 3.5 star movie that get the half star bump from me because I’m a sucker for mafia/mob movies. Feels so similar to Goodfellas and yet maybe a half step behind it.
