End of Watch 2012
On my 3rd or 4th watch now so going in knowing the story the actual story line can be a bit stale and uninspired but the back and forth between Gyllenhaal and Peña keeps you intrigued and the practical effects mixed w the fucked up situations they put themselves in make you ponder the depravities of their world like damn "he was my brother" gets me everytime you're not human if you're not bawling at that funeral scene

Convoluted, Beautiful, Heart-Wrenching. What a masterclass in character development; to see Edward go from ignoring the beauty in his life and despising what he thinks he can't have to having everything he thought he was missing and still feeling empty was displayed gorgeously on the screen. Then to see his relationship with Oswald who is everything he thought he could never be and hating him because of it ... just wow. Hard but necessary watch
