Flashes of greatness but the writing lets it down. Sacrifices scares for character development but doesn’t succeed in that either. Overall feels like a missed opportunity and disappointing given that I loved Upgrade and The Invisible Man.

A Sanjay Dutt handjob.
Oh wow. This was terrible. Like aggressively terrible. Sometimes you gotta adapt to the material man! Hirani just doesn’t. Resulting in a complete tonal mess. A cringefest through and through. The soundtrack is super patronising. Just lifted straight from soap opera. And stop dumbing down dialogues so everyone understands. I get it, you want a wider audience but don’t look down on them.

I don't quite get the acclaim behind this movie. Admittedly rom-coms aren't something that I seek out often. But this felt quite jarring.
