Bridget Jones: Mad About the Boy 2025
This review may contain spoilers. I can handle the truth.
A lovely exploration of the different ways people handle grief, with plenty of heart and humour. Having Daniel back in all his dirty bitch glory was a highlight, but the Roxster storyline gave me the ick. I wish I’d skipped the trailers—would’ve enjoyed it so much more going in blind.

The Substance 2024
Just when you thought it couldn’t get any weirder…
I liked the film. I don’t have much to hate about it; I just personally didn’t enjoy watching it. It’s probably the most messed up thing I’ve seen, as I usually steer clear of the horror genre. I didn’t realise what I was signing myself up for because the trailer did a good job of hiding the face-covering material.
I actually liked the over-the-top show ending—it reminded me of Carrie. But otherwise, I’ll probably never watch this again.
