Extended Edition. Haven't seen this in a long time and i don't know if i had ever watched the extended edition. God damn what a great movie
I found this to be exceptionally good. The giant eyes of Barbara Steele, the beautiful black and white photography, practical fx that are incredibly effective and shocking for 1961.
Iconically staged, brilliantly dramatic, tone setting opening scene. The whole thing was a god damn treat. Bava does it again.
Recommended to fans of black and white photography, witches, vampires, Italian films, practical fx, all horror fans and all fans of classic films.
