any adaptation of pride and prejudice gets a 5 stars from me.
they genuinely couldn’t have had any other actors play bridget jones, mark darcy and especially daniel cleaver. fun fact: Helen Fielding was writing Bridget jones at the same time as watching the pride and prejudice series starring Colin Firth as Mr Darcy, and based mark darcy on Colin Firth’s Mr Darcy. So Mark Darcy quite literally could not have been played by anyone else.
