I’m not exactly sure why I put off watching Eraserhead for decades, but I’m glad my first viewing of this masterpiece was at the Egyptian paired with 55 minutes of David Lynch’s early shorts. Despite all things experimental body horror, I found Eraserhead to be very accessible, but I guess that shouldn’t be a surprise since that’s kind of Lynch’s thang. The themes of the film resonated deeply and I loved the tiny dancing chicken oozing blood and the adorable crying wormhead baby.
