Godzilla: King of the Monsters 2019
What the movie lacked in action and cgi it almost made up for in rock solid character development, acting and plot. The hero’s journey was on full display with the movie borrowing heavily from classic stories such as Gilgamesh, Catcher in the Rye and Othello. This film is not for everyone, as the complexities of the story and character relationships are liable to go over the average movie-goers head.
