Dragon 2025
Dragon is what Don shouldn’t be. A highly entertaining film with Pradeep Ranganathan in full form! A decent first half followed by a hilarious interval was very well redeemed by its terrific later half ending on a very high note. The way the film sensibly handled success was noteworthy, and it kept the audience engaged throughout the entire runtime. Pradeep’s path is clear, and Dhanushification of PR is getting real.

But how will he do it without talking?A man with great ideas for the people and country wanted to start a political party but has a stammering problem. This idea could’ve made well, but Shankar had other ideas. The film had interesting ideas, but Shankar’s outdated storytelling weakened them. Despite a cliched flashback, Ram Charan did a great job as Appana.

Magizh and Thala made a ballsy move by making a mass hero film that intentionally avoids typical heroic elements, staying true to the genre. It’s refreshing to see Thala in his element. He delivered a phenomenal performance as a vulnerable man, lost and hopeless on the roads of Azerbaijan.
Despite being a genre driven film, it lacks emotional depth. The interval created strong tension and set high expectations for the later half, but the payoff didn’t quite match the buildup.…
