  watching this on the plane while the flight attendants were coming around for meal service was a mistake ngl it was so obvious i’d been crying. but i truly love this movie so much.. i think i used to identify with joy and her relationship with evelyn most strongly but this time it was jobu tupaki that i saw the most of myself in and aspects of evelyn as well 😵‍💫 and i ended up paying a lot more attention…

  i suppose we don’t get to decide when it’s over.

  hit so much harder on rewatch 😭 i was on the verge of tears from the start bc i knew what would happen later, and then i was crying silently on and off throughout the second half and trying to wipe the tears off my cheeks as subtly as i could. this is the only movie that’s made me cry in my entire 20ish years of life apart from everything…
