"Pretty girls should always smile" is the biggest bullshit and the most horrible thing a man can utter. I cannot ever blame Elisabeth Sparkle's decision. This body-horror movie is a witness that beauty costs everything. It's about a butterfly effect of someone's vitriol over her physical appearance at her current age, no matter how gorgeous she looks like. Upon that, those words haunted her that she found a substance that can make a "better" version of her. That another her,…

Highlighting the mystery of the satan terror itself, every chapter unveils every fact slowly. With jump-scares that do not appear much, it appears sometimes in a necessary certain scene, the story guides people to build more theories. Not only illustrating satan’s action, this movie also shows how human characteristics can be twisted and turns to a hypocrisy. Talking about hypocrisy, it appears a disguise in a religious form. But what’s new? Isn’t it how satan thinks, to manipulate, no? To…

Things are so real as I realize that some people just want to survive and can risk everything for the slightest things they desire. To uphold justice, there must be a sacrifice either the truth or their own consent. As the main character delivers her personality how she feels small, her habit and behaviour tell the reasons. Something mesmerising about this movie is Peach, a supporting character with a complex dynamic with the main character. She's mysterious yet quite clear,…

Every scene causes curiousity neatly. There's a frightening thing in misery. Starting Marrowbone family as the doers, they hide and reveal at the same time. Whenever suspicious activity happens, the audience is driven curious by slightest hints there. Family issue carries the most here, it gives questionable feedback in a form of behaviour of each kid. They're heroic and wretched at the same time, but they still manage to remain caring among the horror there. Apparently, my conjecture isn't ruined entirely, even though shocking facts show. Mesmerising plot with no cliffhanger, big applause to the plot twist idea. Get better, Jack. You're beyond a hero.
