Barbarian was a very empty movie. It's about how deindustrialization in Detroit turned some of the thriving neighborhoods into wastelands. But the plot shouldn't have to feel empty just to reflect that?

I didn't watch this in january 2023. I watched in in a ford escort in sister bay, wisconsin, two years ago.
I drove there by myself after my gf left for california. I did that to avoid driving all the way out to see her there, which would have been a little crazy but I was going a little crazy without her. So to help myself I took a trip by myself (in the other direction.)
