  aesthetic to the eyes and inspires me to become a fashion icon who lives in a cute nyc apartment and has a chunky cat while my upstairs neighbour falls in love with me. adore how her feminine style was overpowered by her fun personality. it was certainly quite refreshing for the era.

  We’re not ugly people, Harge.

  that scene brought tears to my eyes. those two hours I spent watching Carol I couldn’t help but notice how delicately the shots were executed. that entire era of the 1950’s was shown to us wonderfully. Nonetheless, Rooney Mara and Cate Blanchett created an enchanting story between Carol and Therese. Carol is such a complex but at the same time a truly compelling character so it was intriguing seeing her hard armour fall off. an exceptional pick for the Christmas period I would say.
