The Brutalist 2024
the first part is flawless. The whole thing is visually stunning. Adrian Brody is sensational. Guy Pierce is great. The score was amazing. But the second part??? Je suis lost. The film feels unclear with what it's trying to draw out from its many themes. Felicity Jones performance really took me out of it too (maybe just bad casting but it was hammy as hell).
