If I was in charge of the Oscars, I would give it 'best'. The entire film, from a technical, philosophical, historical, and aesthetic perspective, is unrivaled. The performances' depth and authenticity are models for acting and should be regarded with the utmost respect. It is a movie that safely belongs alongside works like Ben Hur, Lawrence of Arabia, Gone With the Wind, and Elizabeth Taylor's Cleopatra.
