  Intense, overwhelming, and weird.

  If I’m being completely honest, I thought this movie was going to disappoint me, but, much to my surprise, Lynch hit it out of the park with this one. There’s something beautiful and a little bit meta about Lynch playing a character and interacting, if briefly, with who was the protagonist of the tv show.   Around the 5 hours and 10 minutes mark, as the text on the screen gets smaller, I know very well what's coming, what I didn't know was that I wasn't ready for it. I spent the last twenty minutes of the movie with watery eyes and an uncontrollable smile taking over my face. Only the technological limitations at the time could limit Abel Gance's enormous genius.
