  On my behalf, I'll say that this movie, together with Videodrome, made me understand the controversial genius of Cronenberg.
  One of the sex scenes with Deborah Kara Unger (the whole cast is just perfect) made me understand what fine, intense eroticism is. Such a clear, strong impression that I need to rewatch it after so many years but I can still rate this super high.

  Un film necessario, che non c'era ma per cui c'era il posto. L'epica dei nostri giorni, tramandata oralmente dall'Africa al Nord attraverso il Mediterraneo attraversato da piedi scalzi.
  Potrei suggerire questo film ai miei amici senegalesi che ho conosciuto alle Canarie e non mi sembrerebbe di star compiendo un osceno e paternalistico gesto di pietà da operatori sociali. Garrone ha rispetto.
