A fun ride that I didn’t expect. Gratuitous violence, scenery chewing, everything in the script explodes, lots of fun physical effects and car crashes, political satire as subtle as Pam Grier with a machine gun, everything you want in a B movie.

My Best Fiend 1999
Herzog’s point of view of their relationship. It’s not meant to be a biography of Kinski, so I’m not sure what other reviews are talking about. Herzog definitely comes off as a bit self-serving and enacting damage control but the doc is fantastic.

Quadrophenia by way of American Psycho. If you don’t know English football culture, you probably won’t get as much out of this one. The sport itself has almost no role in the film outside of an excuse for ritualized violence, but without the context and knowing a bit of the history of hooliganism the satire will go over the viewer’s head.
