Wow…
This is actually an important film. Especially as an artist, as a new film student, without much experience, indecisive about what I should or want to put on film, dealing with just life, resisting the urge to be obvious… This is how this film spoke to me.

I like how this film feels as if you're watching what you picture in your head when you remember a specific time in your life, with the aid of those 8mm films to help you remember. Sometimes even the characters would say something as you would remember it, not how they would actually say it in real life.
I really enjoyed those 8mm montages, the way the ocean is filmed, and how its blues kept seeping through “the white city”, as if calling him back. The ending is not clear to me, but I'd like to think it's more hopeful than not. Score was wonderful.
