  Michael Gracey is the most talented filmmaker of this new wave working on the musical genre and “Better Man” is amongst the best music biopics I ever saw. Few films have captured so well and so innovatively the heart and the spirit and the inner demons of an artist like this one does with Robbie Williams. It’s all there. And it’s so beautifully done. The “Angels” sequence shattered my heart.

  When Mark Twain said “write what you know” this is what he meant. I can’t remember the last time I saw such a bad, ill-advised, boring, tone-deaf and vicious thing like this. To call it a film would be disrespectful even to Uwe Boll. It’s exactly the kind of blotted attempt a haughty freshman in film school thinks he can tackle and fails miserably. I don’t know if I’m more offended as a filmmaker, as a fan of musicals, as a latin-american or as a human being with a functional brain.
