The Substance 2024
"The Substance" (2024) is a film that stayed with me, in a good and not-so-good way. Demi Moore and Margaret Qualley bring something special to their roles: Demi’s depth in portraying such a complex character is impressive, while Margaret adds a grounded, raw energy that makes her performance stand out. The effects are visually striking, but I couldn’t help but be bothered by the secondary characters — they felt out of place. As for the ending, it’s a bit open-ended and left me feeling unsettled, but in a way that makes you reflect.
