    The Dirt

    ★★★★½

Another biopic to add to the collection, the Dirt transcends the likes of both Rocketman and Bohemian Rhapsody as the ultimate story of an unlikely group succeeding in becoming bonafide rock legends. The film isn't all adrenaline and drugs, it also likes to explore the consequences of living the high life with all the lows that come with it. It's also a surprisingly well-made movie considering the subject matter. It's a great movie to watch with your friends and an even better rock movie.

    Porco Rosso

    ★★★½

One of the few Studio Ghibli films in which it doesn't go completely bonkers in the first 20 minutes. Porco Rosso is a beautiful film that aims to answer the big questions of what does it mean to be human and how do we know who to love? It's slick dialogue and enjoyable characters makes the film a nice comedy and a striking adventure flick. The pirates are absolutely hilarious and the villain is the definition of chaotic evil. Would recommend to those Western film enthusiasts who aren't accustomed to the Japanese film portfolio.

This is a very nicely directed film with a very good cast, starring Benedict Cumberbatch one of the best actors of our age. This film tackles very serious subject matter from basic human ethics to the degradation of homosexuality in British society. However, the characters, the score and the themes all tie this together in presenting this part of world war 2 that those who aren't too informed of that period would greatly enjoy.

    Moneyball

    ★★★½

A film about one of the most boring sports, baseball brings one of the most suprising movies I've ever seen. Moneyball subverts expectations and tells the story of how a new system of drafting saved Oakland Athletics and led them to compete with the New York Yankees on a shoestring budget. The crisp cinematography and the performances of Brad Pit playing Billy Beane and Jonah Hill playing Peter Brand, elevated the film at key comedic points.
