Life Is Beautiful 1997
This review may contain spoilers. I can handle the truth.
Each major Holocaust movie tells its story in a unique way; however The Pianist, Schindler’s List, and The Boy in the Striped Pajamas are all literally gruesome. Life is Beautiful achieves the same emotional impact without the audience witnessing a single rifle firing.

Midnight Run 1988
Fun to watch and a good plot, but it is the relationship between De Niro and Grodin that makes this movie. Without them it isn’t much, with them it is a classic. It’s not downright hilarious, but a slow burn comedy that warms your heart and keeps you wide awake, if not on the edge of your seat. It builds as it goes along and is truly enjoyable to watch.
