For a movie that lasts 141 minutes, there isn’t much development of the premise beyond what you already know about it going into the film.
I liked Knives Out and had this lined up for Christmas Eve so was disappointed by how it turned out. Jokes don’t land, dialogue is scatterbrained, I didn’t care for any of the new characters, setting/special effects are too over the top and it lacked the charm of the original.
A rare, beautiful film that left a profound impression.
I spent about two thirds of the film wondering where it was leading. We are presented with the banal, humdrum experiences of a young Scottish father and his eleven year old daughter on a low-budget, package holiday at a Turkish resort.
