This review may contain spoilers. I can handle the truth.
My 3 stars are mostly for the incredible cinematography, sets, and acting. The message of this movie is hard to find redeemable in any way. The movie ends with the embodiment of evil winning, and the main character in moral struggle surrendering to animalistic whims. The only possible redeemable interpretation is that humans have to go through the pains of acknowledging their intrinsic evils in order to conquer them. This theory doesn't float with me because there are zero indicators…
