  I had high hopes for this but left the cinema feeling disappointed. It had all the promise of some of my favourite films (Silence of the Lambs, Seven, Zodiac etc) but missed the mark for me.

  Cheap and predictable jump scares, no character building, and they spent so long trying to build uneasiness and tension that they had to rush a bunch of exposition at the end.

  An extra star for the cinematography though, it did look amazing.

  And the credits rolling down from the top of the screen was a nice touch!

  I genuinely went into this film with an open mind, despite everything I have heard and read about it. But nope, it turns out everyone was right.

Following
