An incredibly beautiful and intense portal of the obsessive artist sacrificing it all to perfect her passion.At the intersection of Schizophrenia and Ballet, this film offers a stunning glimpse of a woman's world. First Darren Aroronfsky movie, he is such a talented director, from the pallette of the movie to the unguessable turn of events, to the depiction of mental illness that makes us question reality. 10/10 writing & execution.

4 stars because fantastically written dialogue on power themes , excellent character style, background music that really adds to the sensory experience, and a lot of stunning shots but the film itself is itchingly long. This would make for a fantastic TV series tho broken into smaller plots and continued. If I was looking for the next big Netflix show hit I would run with this.
