Klute 1971
I love how much space is given to explore Fonda’s character—a bright, flawed, self-destructive woman who’s afraid to admit she can be loved. “I just want to be faceless and bodiless and for everyone to leave me alone.” A full kick in the stomach, words that resonate HARD with me. Add to this amazing cinematography, score, and Donald Sutherland, easily a five star classic of the 70s.
Inaugural film of the Commonwealth Film Club.
