Beautiful Boy 2018
Cinematically? Beautiful. Acting? Great. Story? Repetitive, but thats what addiction is about.
I really cannot understand why this film has so much criticism around it. One of the films that I think the critics got wrong in my opinion.

On the Rocks 2020
Charming and entertaining, but overall message felt too predictable to me. Bill Murray is the highlight of the film.
Still, it’s a good film to watch with the family (or SO) with some cool shots here and there.

Anora 2024
First Sean Baker film I’ve watched, and I throughly enjoyed it. I loved the way the film broke up the devastating & crazy nature of the story with some humor. I mean, the home invasion scene is absolute chaos, but hilarious at the same time.
A lot of shouts for the actress who plays Anora (and rightfully so) but I thought the actor who played Ivan did an equally impressive job… in a different way.

Vertigo 1958
Outside of Alfred Hitchcock plastering his name on the screen a dozen times before the movie started, this movie is seriously great.
I’ve been clearing off the “older” films in my watchlist and although I have an appreciation for them, I’m usually underwhelmed. However, this films story, acting, and cinematography still holds up over 66 years later. I have no doubt this film will continue to hold up another few decades from now, five stars!
