The Story of the Kelly Gang 1906
Ned Kelly and his gang inspired 10 feature films in little over 100 years, this was the first one.
Also the first hour long movie, but little has remain with 17min of original screenplay, but it was beautifully compiled back and filled with additional titles to reconstruct the film's narrative
It has it all: a train robbery, a bank robbery, a saloon shoot out, houses on fire, an Australian Iron Man shooting to rescue his gang

The Great Train Robbery 1903
First time two plots got connected ( the bandits plot, and the police plot) and met to finish the movie at the end.
The mark of the beginning of western movies
filmed outside of a theater set, on location, had a plot(a narrative movie), used camera pan( horizontal camera movement), close up shot( breaking 4th wall). It was not the first to use these techniques but did it excellently.
Its huge success fomented theaters for movie watching.
