The premise of the movie was amazing however lacked in good story telling.
For instance kiko and his mother, or well suggested to be Sulo’s ex, was very badly written, no background or any form of attachment was created, it felt somewhat forced.

Nothing Special?
An awfully ordinary movie. Watching it now with my perspectives of the world it surprises me that this movies feels a tad bit normal with little to no specialty to support itself.
The movie although does a great job with its music and storytelling by using Pompeii as an obsession when Katherine and Alex’s beloved marriage slowly drifts them apart.
A cool symbolism of Pompeii’s almost perfectly preserved life connecting it to Katherine’s emotion.
