Every criticism of this movie is right but I don’t care. It’s true that the worm subplot is retreading very old ground and that the beginning has too much exposition and meanders too long and the Trump impression wears thin and there are so many ideas introduced that are very interesting but never explored. However I had so much fun, my GOAT Robert Pattinson gave such an excellent performance, and the Mickeys really work as an emotional centerpiece of the…

Weird one, but fun! I didn’t expect the monkey to be a metaphor for like…toxic masculinity/absent fathers but I think that’s actually a fun idea. Unfortunately the metaphor sometimes doesn’t make a ton of sense and the whole shtick started to feel a little tired at times. This movie probably could have been a short film and would have been stronger for it. I still had fun though and most of the jokes landed! I definitely enjoyed this one more than Longlegs and will probably be seated for Mr. Perkins next movie (kinda funny that you get a post credit sneak peek of it)

I LOVED this movie. The perfect buddy comedy. Keke Palmer and SZA were soooooo funny and had crazy chemistry as a unit of girl failures. I want them to make a million more movies together. This was repeated throughout the movie in a way that felt really real and…

Watched this one with my partner tonight as it snowed outside and we drank hot chocolate. The perfect January movie in my opinion (I wanted to give it a rewatch during Christmas but forgot but I think it hit well watching it post New Years). So funny, so sweet, so sad. Mary feels so close to my heart, such a powerful performance. I think I’ll watch this movie many, many times during my life.
