It basically removes all the character from the previous film, dulling and removing many of the previous film's best aspects. The zombies don't feel as dangerous, being slower, and weaker. It feels like a generic 80s film and that doesn't really interest me. All the acting is far worse too.

Not much of a horror fan, luckly it was not very scary, and it was more interesting with its horror, so it works out for me.
The directing seems solid, nothing stood out that much, but it has a solid pace and is coheriant.
I enjoyed the performances as well, Freddy and Frank were a great duo, and you could really see the pain and fear throughout there performances especially, they are very sympathetic, and you can see them dying…

It mixes comedy in which varies in suceess, it fails when the Cook uses a brush to fight off Sally (like seriously fight back a bit more). But works with hammer bit.
This was so beautifully shot and a visual delight, the screaming Sally in the dinner scene as she moves her head reminded me of that moving face texture in Doom. The ending was the best part, from the Dinner scene, to the frantic escape.
Even though this film does alter the main two characters quite a bit. Michael Cera feels less like the energetic, forgetful, kinda nice and kinda awful guy from the book, who despite fighting Ramona's exes, fails to fight his inner issues for a majority of the series. Michael Cera in the film plays the character he generally always plays - he is shy and has some of the bad tendencies of Scott, but toned down and therefore explored less. Ramona…
