wow what a perfect movie for st patricks day. i love that these (handsome dirty white shirtless) men did all that for their beliefs but mostly because their bar was being threatened to shut down. did not expect skippy to die, that shocked me, and was unnecessary but then that guy got what was coming to him. Willem dafoe never change.

Jojo Rabbit 2019
This is probably Taika Waititi's best work before he got too distracted by Rita Ora. The script is perfect, the acting, the humanity, and the direction is all perfect. It's unapologetic, stories wrap up when they need to, fucking funny, and pushes boundaries.

move over hereditary, we got better face-desk bashing. maika monroe is perfect and her character had me going "oooohhh she just like meeee" the whole time. nicholas cage killed it but i think would have been creepier if they never showed him full frontal. there could have been more icky gory but i won't complain. surprise kiernan shipka very nice. the cinematography itself is widespread, beautiful, yet confined and steals the show. love that it was slightly awkward and goofy. hell yeah.
