Alright yall are goofy: WHAT DO YOU MEAN 2.8?? This went CRAZY! I agree the ending was maybe a bit too ambiguous for its own good, but from beginning to end I think this really works. A Real Pain 2024
Eisenberg has such an interesting style, sometimes choosing the sublime strangeness that only exists in film, and other times choosing something so real it hurts. In this film it all works and blends together so beautifully. This was heartbreaking and heartwarming all at the same time (by the end mostly heartbreaking, though), and I loved it. Congrats on Culkin’s Oscar win! He deserved it. Crazy that Eisenberg wasn’t up for best actor, though.
