Just...no.
I recently lost my grandmother after a long battle with Alzheimer's, so this film is just upsetting and not in the good "horror film" way. It's crass, lazy and nonsensical. The rapid oscillation between a fairly realistic depiction of Alzheimer's (kudos to the initial portrayals for capturing the helplessness and fear of one suffering with it) and the Scooby-Doo gang's Blair Witch bullshit is truly astonishing - why have anything worth thinking about or terrifying when you can have…
