  Gritty, pre-code crime drama. You know it’s pre-code because of the multiple strip scenes and the good guy is a gangster who puts a hit out on the villain. The story is kinda hokey but it has lots of stars before they were stars. Barbara Stanwyck as the tough as nails, street girl who only wants to help sick people.
