At its heart, this is nothing more than an old fashioned rom com. This film appears to suffer from comparison with Parasite. That is unfair in many ways, and does this film a disservice. Look at this on its own merits and there is a lot to like here. The writing is smart with not-so-subtle digs at American politics. Personally I thought Robert Pattinson did an outstanding job, and (unlike some of the characters on screen) there is never any doubt as to which Mickey variant you are looking at. Double thumbs up…
